ABOUT FRAHCAS
FRIENDS AND RESIDENTS
OF THE ABBOTT STREET HERITAGE
CONSERVATION AREA SOCIETY
Promoting Heritage Conservation Since 1997
While we have a large membership, we are considered by the City as a “special interest group” rather than a neighbourhood association, and our area is within KSAN’s boundaries. KSAN and FRAHCAS always try to support each other and as such have a long history of working together to promote conservation in this area.

FRAHCAS HISTORY
Many development projects were being applied for and there was more pressure on the local residents to take action. With the blessings of councillor Sharon Shepherd who was chairing the Community Heritage Commission, this group, FRAHCAS, was incorporated as a non-profit Society in August of ’98.
The first board members were Valerie Hallford, Jill Schock, Dave Williams, Sue Bradley.
