Heritage Conservation Area Development Guidelines – City of Kelowna

UPDATE June 2025:

The new heritage guidelines are now going to a Public Hearing on June 17, 2025
FRAHCAS wishes the community and the city to know that they support the preservation of the Abbott Heritage Conservation Area (HCA). The proposed guidelines to be included in Chapter 23 of the Official Community Plan (OCP) have several issues.

Please read our summary points PDF below for the guidelines and attend the hearing if possible. If you cannot attend, you can email the summary points to the contacts listed in the PDF.

February 2025:

The City of Kelowna is requesting comments on the Draft Heritage Conservation Area Development Guidelines. These guidelines (see PDF below) will be used in the future for changes occurring in the Abbott and Marshall Streets Heritage Conservation Areas, so it is very important to share your voice!

All comments must be sent to Robert Miles: rmiles@kelowna.ca no later than February 21, 2025
